Double Chin Tightening
At Azura Clinic in Muscat, you can get advanced double chin reduction treatments that will help you define your profile. Each treatment, from Fotona laser and mesotherapy to Endolift, is meant to get rid of fat under the chin, tighten the skin, and make the jawline look more sculpted.

Double Chin Treatment in Muscat: First, Which Double Chin Is It?
Almost everyone who books this treatment assumes the answer is fat. Sometimes it is. Often it is not, and that single question decides whether anything we do will work. Fullness under the chin can be fat, it can be skin that has lost its tone, it can be a neck muscle that sits loosely, and it can be a chin and jaw that are simply set back a little, which is genetics and not something you gained. At Azura Clinic in Sarooj, Muscat a specialist dermatologist looks at the area, feels where the fullness actually is, and tells you which of these you have before anything is sold to you.
The reason this matters more here than in most treatments: the wrong answer is not merely ineffective. Removing fat from under a chin whose real problem is loose skin can make the looseness more obvious, not less.
The Four Things a Double Chin Can Actually Be
- Fat. Soft, pinchable fullness that sits below the jaw. This is the one that responds to fat-reducing treatment, and it appears in slim people too, because where the body stores fat is inherited.
- Loose skin. The fullness hangs rather than fills. Here the work is tightening, not reducing, and the treatments are the ones on our lifting and collagen page.
- A chin set back. If the chin itself does not project far enough, the angle between chin and neck stays soft no matter how much fat is reduced. The honest options here are chin projection with filler, or, for a significant difference, a surgical or orthodontic opinion rather than anything we offer.
- Posture and the neck muscle. A head carried forward and a slack platysma change the profile in photographs. No injection addresses that, and we will say so.
Most people are a mixture of two, which is why the plan is built after looking at you and not from a brochure.
What We Offer, and What It Costs
Every price is read from the treatment's own page and covers a session; the final figure follows how much fat there is and how lax the skin is.
- Mesotherapy for a double chin: small injections into the fat under the chin. 45 OMR to 245 OMR.
- Double chin with Fotona: a non-invasive laser that heats deeply to firm the skin over the area. 70 OMR to 203 OMR.
- Endolift for a double chin: a very fine laser fibre placed under the skin, so it works on the fat and the skin above it from the inside. 395 OMR to 405 OMR.
There is a wide price gap here and it is honest to explain it rather than let you guess: the injectable route is the least expensive and works on fat; Endolift costs several times more because it is a procedure under the skin that addresses fat and tightening together. More expensive is not better unless the thing it does is the thing you need.
What Nobody Selling This Will Tell You
- Fat-dissolving injections are sold everywhere, including by people who are not doctors. Under the chin you are injecting a few millimetres from nerves that move the lower lip and from large blood vessels. Ask who is holding the needle and what their qualification is, here or anywhere else.
- Reducing fat can unmask loose skin. This is the most common disappointment in this treatment and it is predictable at the consultation, which is exactly why the skin is assessed before the fat is touched.
- Swelling afterwards is part of how injectable fat reduction works, so plan the appointment with that in mind rather than booking it close to an event.
- No cream, belt, massage roller or chin strap reduces fat under the chin. If a product promises that, it is selling you the idea rather than the result.
- If your weight is changing, say so. Treating the chin while weight is rising works against you, and treating it during significant weight loss may be unnecessary, because this is often one of the first areas to change.
When It Is Not a Double Chin at All
Please bring these to a doctor instead of booking a contouring session. Each one is something else wearing the same appearance, and some of them need attention promptly.
- A lump you can feel as a distinct ball, especially on one side only, or one that is hard and does not move under the skin.
- Swelling that is new, growing, or painful, or that comes with fever or a sore throat. A swollen gland is not a contour problem.
- Swelling that appears or worsens when you eat, which points to a salivary gland rather than to fat.
- A swelling in the front of the lower neck that moves when you swallow, which belongs to a thyroid assessment.
- Anything you have already had injected under the chin. Tell us what and roughly when, because what is already there changes what should be done next.
Also tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you take blood thinners, if you have a bleeding or autoimmune condition, if you have had surgery or radiotherapy to the neck, and about any medicine you take regularly.
What To Expect
These are appointments done with numbing, and you go home the same day. After injectable treatment expect the area to be swollen, tender and sometimes bruised, and expect that to be more noticeable than you imagine from photographs, because this is a visible part of the face. After laser treatment expect warmth and redness instead. The change arrives gradually as the body clears treated fat and as collagen rebuilds, so the honest answer to when you will see it is not the same week. How many sessions and how far apart is decided for you at the consultation, because the amount of fat and the state of the skin differ completely between two people with the same complaint.
Two things protect the result and neither is a treatment: stable weight, and sleep on your back if you can, because the profile you dislike in photographs is partly posture.
